TO: ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION
ATTN.: CHAIRPERSON AGNES DEVANADERA
Consumer Group Laban Konsyumer Inc. (LKI) would like to seek detailed information on the 47,000 Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) complaints that were metnioned by the Chair Agnes Devanadera during the previous and recent Senate Hearing held on July 6, 2020 regarding the bill shock, as reported. Our group is raising concern on this number of complaints because no details were submitted or provided regarding this large number.
In fact, I posted in the group chat the data ERC submitted in the House Hearing last July 2, 2020, Thursday , which was logging in at around 2,000 complaints. This record had a breakdown. But now that the number has bloated, we are left with no breakdown regarding this large alleged number of complaints filed to the ERC.
So, in line with this, and the freedom and right to information of consumers, we would like to request the ERC for all the complete details and breakdown of this 47,000, as claimed. It is the right of consumers and the regulator should give accurate information. Wrong data adds to the confusion and ambiguity of the bill shocks as as to the ERC advisories.
Very truly yours,
Atty. Victorio Mario A. Dimagiba, AB, LLB, LLM
