In a
Manifestation filed today , September 10, 2019 , to the Energy
Regulatory Commission no later that Wednesday , the consumer group
informs the Commission that 18th Congress , House of
Representatives , Committee on Economic Affairs had submitted
Committee Report No. 5, on August 29 , 2019 recommending various
bills that will amend the Pubic Service Act. The amendments will
include rate making methodology provisions governing distribution
utilities and transmission companies in the power industry .
On the
part of the Senate , Senate Bill No.1754 on the same amendments did
not pass the 2nd reading in the 17th Congress.
Considering
that the instant application had remained pending since 2015 , and
that the Commission had scheduled further expository hearings, we
submit prudence in the disposition of the case in view of pending
bills amending the Public Service Act , that shall affect the merit
of the case.
