More SRP increases in the latest DTI
2nd Quarter 2019 Srp tablet. CIHICKEN retail prices up to 180 pesos a kilo.
Amidst the 4.6% impact of inflation in May 2019 for the poor Filipinos that comprised 30% of the population and the BSP survey that shows negative 1 percent sentiment of the consumers, the DTI had authorized another unannouced price increases once more in processed milk , coffee and condiments. reported by Vic Dimagiba, Laban Konsyumer Inc. President.
Dimagiba added that the SRP tablet was labelled 2nd quarter 2019 instead of the usual as of a specific date . ( may 4 vs june 21) .
The lack of advisory to the consumers is ” very regrettable and violative of Art 2 para c of the Consumer Act that states that the State shall implement measures on ” provision of information and education to facilitate sound choice and the proper exercise of rights by the consumers “.
