In October, the Consumer Welfare Month, we opened the month and conducted price monitoring in Quezon City. We capped the month with a lecture “Konsume “before students of the University of the Philippines in Los Banos.
The LKI submitted 2 projects for funding of the Consumers International, one on digital privacy tips in collaboration with the National Privacy Commission , and the second is a 30 minute one year program on radio.
Due to the long delay in the issuance of the IRR of the Toys and Games Label Law, the LKI together with the Eco waste Coalition, filed a petition for Mandamus against the DOH and the DTI.
The LKI remains active on issues relating to water and power rates and had participated actively in public hearings and consultations before the Energy Regulatory Commission and the MWSS.
The LKI remains active resource person in various bills in the Senate and the House.
